With a large addition of lactose (milk sugar), this stout becomes sweeter without losing the characteristic chocolate and roasted flavors. A thick body makes this beer ideal for sipping all year long.
Bought a kit on a whim after taking a break from brewing last year. Was definitely a good stout for sure. Full of the coffee and chocolate flavors from the roasted malts with a lighter body than I thought it would have. The head turned out the color of butterscotch pudding, with a pleasant toasted scent. Would be the perfect beer to drink in the winter months.
